Meaning of Our Name and Logo:

 

• Name: Our organization is named 'Hilin', which means 'Path'. This name symbolizes our commitment to exploring solutions to problems while acknowledging that ours is not the sole approach. It also signifies that every step forward, no matter how small or large, is valued. This reflects a progressive thinking where differences in viewpoints are expected and diverse thoughts and opinions are welcomed.

 

• Logo: Our logo features a path leading to a sunrise, interspersed with stars. The path symbolizes the organization's name, 'Hilin', representing guidance and direction. The four-pointed star signifies the Somali communities in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti. The sun represents enlightenment, prosperity, and knowledge, and underscores the organization's foundation in local wisdom, reflecting the Somali sun-based calendar.
